Abstract:

Nursing research is a vital component of nursing undergraduate education. As stipulated in the CHED Memorandum Order No. 14, series of 2009, research is one of the eleven key areas of responsibilities for a graduate nurse. Hence, before being conferred with a degree of Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), a person shall first produce a satisfactory research output. Researches of nursing students have made significant contributions in the generation and expansion of the body of nursing knowledge and practice. However, no study has been conducted in the college of nursing to analyze the trends of these researches. This study aims to analyze the trend of research outputs of nursing students in St. Paul University Dumaguete from 2009 to 2013.
