Abstract:

Rodolfo Vera Quizon, most commonly known as Dolphy, was hailed as the King of Philippine Comedy. He produced most of his comedy films under RVQ Productions, a company he owned. Some of his films contained poverty portrayals. This research aimed to: 1) find out if RVQproduced comedy films influence the researchers' perception of reality; 2) determine the films’ message and how the message were presented in the films; And 3) determine if the presentation of poverty evolved in his films.
