Abstract:

This qualitative study conducted an awareness campaign on ―sexting.‖ Using purposive sampling method, the researchers interviewed the senior students of Los Banos Community National High School. Results showed that the respondents’ perception towards ―sexting‖ differed from one another because of the many factors influencing their judgments such as culture, environment, and religion. Three themes were formulated, namely: social influence, technological influence, and teenage curiosity. Based on the identified themes, the researchers determined the factors that led the senior high school students to engage in ―sexting.‖ These were curiosity, presence or availability of cell phones and social media sites, and peer influence.
