Abstract:

The study determined if there is a relationship existing between parental discipline and support and personality traits of students-at-risk in Colegio de San Juan de Letran Calamba. Specifically, it determined 1. the socio-demographic profile of the respondents in terms of: sex, age, family of origin, and socio-economic status; 2. the parenting behaviors in disciplining and supporting their children as perceived by the respondents; 3. the significant difference that exists in the parenting behaviors in disciplining and supporting as perceived by the respondents when they are grouped according to their socio-demographic profile; 4. the personality traits of the students-at-risk as assessed by the Big Five Assessment Test; and 5. if there is a significant difference existing in the personality traits of the respondents when they are grouped according to their socio-demographic profile.
