THE RELEVANCE OF LETRAN CALAMBA HRDM ACADEMIC PROGRAM TO THE CURRENT INDUSTRY MANPOWER NEEDS

Abstract:

The study determined the relevance of Letran Calamba HRDM academic program to the current industry manpower needs. Using the qualitative design, the researchers interviewed the HR Manager of the three selected companies in Laguna. The data were carefully transcribed to draw themes.

Findings showed that the HRDM program of Letran Calamba meets the standard of the industry manpower needs of the three companies which were basically knowledge, skills, and experience in  the  workplace.  Results of the study would be used to improve the HRDM program of Letran Calamba in terms of industry manpower. Furthermore, the three selected companies should give attention to the academic programs offered by the schools and colleges to evaluate the relevance of the academic programs offered to the industry manpower needs.
