PERCEIVED LEVEL OF COMPETENCIES OF HRDM STUDENTS: BASIS FOR A PRE- EMPLOYMENT TRAINING PROGRAM

Abstract:

The study aimed to assess the perceived level of competencies of the 33 fourth year Human Resource Development Management students of Colegio de San Juan de Letran Calamba. The result of the study was used as inputs for a pre-employment training program focusing on the nine industry-based competencies  posited by SHRM (Society for Human Resource Management) obtained through a self- assessment test. The study also identified the competency levels of the respondents in relation to their demographic profile: age and gender. Further, the study computed for the significant relationship between the  said demographic data and their competency levels.
