VEGGIE MACAROON SURPRISE

Abstract:

Gazaleon Macaroons Enterprise introduced Veggie Macaroon Surprise, a vegetable- based variation of macaroons with melted cheese and chocolate filling. It had orange-colored speckles from the grated carrots and sweet potatoes. This round-shaped macaroon was rolled in desiccated coconut to add texture to the product. Oozing with chocolate and melted cheese, the deep-fried veggie macaroon delighted the target consumers aged 8 and above. Sold at an affordable price of Php 4.00 per piece, veggie macaroon could also be ordered in a box of six and twelve at a discounted price. Its promotion was through free tasting, word of mouth, and social networking sites. The primary competitors of Gazaleon macaroons were Goldilocks Bakeshop, Red Ribbon, and other bakeshops in the market.
