Abstract:

This study aimed to determine the feasibility of producing asphalt with recycled PET bottles. Located in Makiling, Calamba City, Green Built Company targeted the 2nd District of Laguna and 3rd District of Batangas for its first five years  of operation.  The  raw materials could be easily acquired because of the proximity of the plant location to its suppliers and target market while the manpower could be hired within the vicinity of the plant location. To start the business, the needed capital investment to cover the fixed assets, working capital, and 25% contingency amounted to Php 9,901,930.62, which would  be produced through the  proponents’ equal sharing of Php 3,300,643.54. The project would have a payback period of 3.46 years and an average return on investment of 51.84% every year.
