Discipline: Electrical Engineering

Abstract:

The research aimed to provide energy saving schemes to prepare Colegio San Agustin – Biñan for future implementation of open access to minimize their energy cost, manage and monitor their loads, improve efficiency of their equipment, and introduce alternate power source for the loads.

Alternative energy saving schemes included load profiling and load scheduling, total productive maintenance, and installation of photovoltaic system. In selecting the best solution for the problem, technical and economic factors were considered. The researchers recommended implementing load profiling and scheduling the best alternative solution since it will benefit the Institution in terms of savings. However, the combination of the alternatives will foster greater energy savings compared to only one.
