Abstract:

This study proposed the modification of the existing oil cooler of the hobbing machine of Asian Transmission Corporation (ATC) to reduce maintenance.

ATC produces and assembles the transmission components and various engine parts of the Mitsubishi Motors Philippines; supplies the world’s demand of the gears for the transmission of L300, L200 pickup and Pajero as well as the transmission components for Nissan Frontier Navarra, Nissan’s Fairlady and Skyline. Through constant communication with the company representative, ocular visits and findings from previous studies, related literature and ideas and facts from the World Wide Web, the researchers proposed design solutions for the company.
