Convercent and Discriminant Validities of the T-Scale

Abstract:

In an effort to contribute to the further development of a locally-made test, convergent and discriminant validities of the T-Scale were investigated. A correlation coefficient of 0.34 was found between the T-Scale and the trustworthiness subscale of the Philosophies of Human Nature by Wrightsman (1974). A discriminant correlation of -0.15 was obtained with the Normlessness Scale by Neal and Groat (1974) indicating that normlessness is a construct in opposition to trustworthiness.
