Abstract:

The general objective of the study was to design and develop a LAN based software that would help the Finance Office of Colegio de San Juan de Letran Calamba in requesting and purchasing orders. Its main goal was to create orders with product details which would eliminate excess paper works, change manual procedures, and come up with accurate results in a fast and efficient way.

The study used descriptive and action type of research wherein interview was conducted and questionnaires were used to determine the specific needs of the system. It also followed the Iterative Life Cycle as its software methodology and respondents were chosen through purposive sampling.

Results showed that 100% of the respondents who evaluated and tested the proposed system agreed that the system has a user-friendly interface and easy to access.

It was recommended that the proposed Purchase Request Service System be adopted because it could help the Finance Office of the Colegio in requisitioning and organizing orders. It would also benefit the other offices and departments because the system uses Local Area Network that would make transactions faster.
