Website Maintenance Systems and Procedures for Colegio de San Juan de Letran Calamba

Abstract:

The main purpose of this study was to create an organized system and procedures for the website maintenance of Colegio de San Juan de Letran Calamba which was hoped to be helpful to the Corporate Communications and Planning Department (CCPD) of the Colegio.

 

To create this system and procedures, the current problems and needs of the CCPD were first analyzed through the use of survey questionnaires distributed to the different administrators and staff of the Colegio. The survey questionnaires included statements about the current website and website maintenance system wherein the respondents were asked to rate them using an 8-point Likert Scale. The staff from CCPD involved in the website maintenance was also interviewed. Data collected from this interview were used to support the study and to complement the results of the survey.

 

It was found out that the current website’s maintenance policies and procedures are still in draft because of the constant changes done in the process. It was revealed in the interview that there were times wherein the information needed to update the sites does not come on time as per the set deadline; thus, the site was not updated. Results of the survey also revealed that the current system used in the website maintenance really needs improvement.
