Abstract:

Smartphones greatly help the petroleum consumers as main users of the android application. In just one click, all information needed by the user can be provided. A gasoline station’s price list differs from its competitors even on identical brands because of the excise tax. PetrolPal is an Android application that provides gasoline station routes with a retail pump price list that consumers can always access for the needs of their vehicle. The petroleum price changes in the global oil market are determined. As technologies grow, the navigation of road applications has offered varied characteristics and ways of helping people who like to travel. If the vehicle owner wants to save money on gasoline without going far from his destination, he should use PetrolPal. The system uses crowdsourcing users to report prices that help other users to build a price warner community. Overall, the proposed system focused on developing an android application companion wherein petroleum consumers like drivers of public or private vehicles can be helped to save money on gas. The researchers conducted a post assessment survey to know the feedback of the administrator, manager and officer in charge of the gasoline station about the system, and the petroleum consumers about the android application. Results revealed that the android application is a great companion to use for daily petroleum consumption.
