Abstract:

This study ascertained the recruitment and selection practices in ABC Company in Binan, Laguna, identified the gaps in recruitment and selection, and the ways to improve and develop a plan that would address the identified gaps in recruitment and selection. The researchers randomly selected 200 (5%) production operators out of 2,011 employees hired in April to August as respondents of the study. Findings on the recruitment and selection practices of ABC Company revealed a gap in recruitment and selection, indicating an inconsistency in conducting interviews with the applicants. The HR Department was not complying with the recruitment and selection processes or the standard operating procedure. The developed plan to address the identified gaps was recommended to be implemented to improve the process and procedure of recruitment in Company ABC.
