A Project Feasibility Study on Establishing Rain Catcher Store, An Online Oriented Shop Centered Around Selling Rain Catchers

Abstract:

Due to the increasing water bill rate, people are getting interested in lessening expenses via rain catcher, a device designed to transform rain water into a more useful and cleaner one. Rain catcher is now being used in different places in and outside of the country. With a marketing program appealing to the security of a long-term solution for their water related problems and conceptualized as an environmentally friendly product, people, cautious of this matter, will be captivated. Different strategies will be used to increase the consumer’s awareness of the product, including print advertisements and posters, use of the internet through Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and other social media outlets. Customization was deemed important because every potential customer has different preferences and circumstances in their houses (i.e. dimension, number of floors, etc.). The proposed business, a Rain Catcher Store, is technically feasible. The materials needed for its construction are relatively easy to acquire. Pipes could be ordered from the local hardware stores while filters could be purchased online. A general form of sole proprietorship is appropriate to finance the project. The Rain Catcher Store would need P1,480,464.83 to start it and could get a return on investment in 1.2 years. It will provide means of livelihood to the people, help the national government through taxes, help the environment by purifying rain as an alternative. Demand for the Rain Catcher Store was proven based on the evidence of the great number of the target market interested and willing to buy its product. The absence of direct competitors will certainly help the business to be profitable because the proposed business will be the sole solution for most of the target market’s rain catcher related interest. Heavy advertisement should be implemented to increase the customers of the business, particularly in social media, like pop-up advertisements in Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. To the future researchers, this study can be used as reference about the product. They should at least consider different rain catcher models used in different places in and out of the country.
