A Feasibility Study on Establishing Fruitfulness in SM Calamba City, Laguna

Abstract:

Many people nowadays like to drink shakes or smoothies along with some quick snacks wherever they go. This is how the idea of Fruitfullness came up - innovating the shakes and smoothies by using natural organic fruits as ingredient, no added preservatives or any artificial sugar, just organic fruits. The product is called Rainbow Smoothie, because the smoothie is arranged into layers of colors of the rainbow in one cup. The fruits consist of watermelon, orange, mango, green apple and black grapes. The prices of the smoothies are according to its cup sizes: regular cups (12oz) are Php 70.00; medium cups (16oz) are Php 80.00; and large cups are Php 100.00. The management foresees an increase of demand over the years. During the first year, the projected demand starts at 1,332,936 units; on the second year, 1,359,595 units; on the third year, 1,386,787 units; on the fourth year, 1,414,523 units; and on the fifth year, 1,442,814 units. The business will start with a capital of Php 650,000.00 to be maximized during the implementation of the business. A survey was conducted to forecast the market demand. Aligned with the objective of the study, the proponents will earn a net profit of Php 709,706.96 during its first year. The business was predicted to be successful because of the positive results in the financial statements. Proponents of Fruitfullness recommended that future researchers increase the menu to better satisfy the customers and improve brand identity. The researchers expressed their gratitude to everyone who believed and supported them throughout the duration of their project feasibility study. This may aid the business to achieve strong competitive advantage and ensure long-run survival in the industry.
