Total Productive Maintenance of HVAC System in the Collegiate School Infrastructures in Calamba

Abstract:

This project feasibility study aimed to propose optimal HVAC system maintenance in collegiate schools in Calamba to improve their current maintenance schemes through the application of Industrial Engineering tools and techniques. It would be providing general cleaning services that are scheduled optimally for Colegio de San Juan de Letran - Calamba and the other collegiate schools. The best frequency for maintaining air-conditioning units is quarterly execution of general cleaning of units and weekly cleaning of air filters. Regular implementation of general cleaning for units and cleaning of air filters would ensure top quality performance of air - conditioning units of schools. The study took into consideration factors such as class schedule, servicing time, and the capacity of manpower on servicing the air-conditioning units. These factors were used in formulating an optimal schedule.
