LKR Servicing Firm: Service Provider for Facility Assessment and Industrial Solutions

Abstract:

LKR Service is a facility planning concerned with the design, layout and accommodation of people, machines and activities of a system or enterprise within a physical environment. This service will give an organized flow, optimized productivity and no waste. Project’s Long-Range Objective is to provide safety precaution to all workers, especially to those entering the job for the first time, to prevent hazards to which the employees may be exposed to, and to give information to all employees on the causes of accidents; to maximize safety by providing the employees knowledge about safety and precautions. Project Timetable and Status. The proponents will take a year to design the business. Concepts were planned, survey was conducted, scenarios were analyzed to provide solutions to operate the proposed business. Nature of the Industry. The study was conducted among the manufacturing companies in the vicinity of Calamba City, Cabuyao City and Santa Rosa City, Laguna. Surveys and interviews were conducted among the manufacturing companies in the area to help the researchers in identifying the demand for this project. Future clients and competitors in offering industrial solutions to companies were identified. Investment Costs. The capital investment has a total cost of Php 1,859,163.30 in order to start and operate the business. Marketing aspect. The researchers studied how to market a company that offers facility assessment and industrial solutions to different manufacturing companies where there is a need for a good facility layout and a better system that can improve their day-to-day operations. Surveys and interviews were conducted with the personnel of sample companies. Tally sheets were used in determining the number of companies who need facility assessment and industrial solutions. The data gathered were used to plan supply and demand, to determine the discontented demand and the attainable market assets of the product in the industry. Technical Feasibility. Information about the service including the physical and mechanical properties, office layout and operation schedules and the list of tools, machines, and equipment needed in operation were specified. Financial Feasibility. How much start-up capital is needed, sources of capital, returns on investment, and other financial considerations were looked into. The proponents also estimated the project’s initial cost and asset requirements based on the materials, supplies, equipment, physical plant and manpower needs of the project. Socio-economic Feasibility. The project will support the society in the form of income, tax, employment, supply of materials, and some other contributions during the implementation of the service. Environmental Feasibility. The waste to be produced is more paper and plastic materials from office supplies. To be promoted is the culture that a clean workplace can boost the efficiency and productivity of a worker.
