Providing Inventory Management Services for Small and Medium Enterprises in Calamba, Laguna

Abstract:

It is important for every enterprise to evaluate business on a regular basis. Inventory management is one of the most essential parts of a business. They must ensure that they keep track of their stocks and whether they have the right number of products available when the customers need them. It is also important for them to also know whether they are losing money due to excessive stock of products. The study aims to describe how inventory management services can help the small and medium enterprises not only in developing their inventory management but as well as improving efficiency and productivity in the enterprise. The study is based on Sunbird School, Office Supplies and Gift Shop which served as the host enterprise or company of the researchers. The enterprises are having problems in their inventory management where due to bad forecasting, they have ordered too much and caused excess stocks. Products and items that are stored for a long time may obtain damages therefore cannot be sold anymore. The researchers came up with the study to provide small and medium enterprises with services such as inventory audit and inventory consulting. The target markets are specifically enterprises engaged in selling school supplies, office supplies, and gift shop. These can help them in making better inventory decisions and solutions that may help the enterprise optimize their resources and reduce cost efficiently.
