Delivery and Transportation Services Management of Automotive Companies through Operational Analysis

Abstract:

The project is engaged in logistics services. It will offer delivery and trucking services that will also track the location of the goods. The project’s long -range objectives is to identify the feasibility of trucking business at a reasonable price; to be profitable, marketable, and distinctive among other trucking businesses. The proximity of the site to the target market, namely, the automotive companies in Canlubang, Cabuyao, and Sta. Rosa Laguna, will allow better service to the customers. BDM Trucking Services guarantees delivery services that could transport goods on time and satisfy the customer’s expectation through securing the safety and quality of the goods at a reasonable price. ABC Company’s efficiency is very low due to the large number of late deliveries. The arrival of rented trucks is often late. The project requires 12 months of pre-operating activities before it can start normal procedure. All materials, utilities, labor, and other requirements needed by the firm will be readily available to operate in the proposed location. Market Feasibility. There is assurance of the profitability of the project for it would supplement the unsatisfied demand for the trucking services. Technical Feasibility. The service process has been shown in the technical study as well as the tools and equipment needed in the proposed business. Financial Feasibility. The project would cost Php 7,103,529.33 for the first three months of operations, which includes fixed assets, three months of working capital, and 10% contingency. The project would have a payback period of 3.11 years. Socio - Economic Feasibility. The project would help the city of Sta. Rosa and the national government through the taxes that would be paid. This would help increase the government funding. Management Feasibility. As a starting company, the project would be under the operational staff, finance staff, monitoring staff, and the management of BDM Trucking Services, Environmental Feasibility. BDM Trucking Services will maintain the cleanliness inside the company through proper waste segregation.
