Design and Installation of Conveyor System for Pneumatic Machine in the Production Area of Gemphil Technologies Inc.

Abstract:

This study intended to find the best conveyor system suited to increase production. This study focused on how the production rate will be enhanced since the existing pneumatic machine in the company produces only six pieces of transformer coil at a time and has to be monitored by the operator regularly. By installation of a conveyor system in the pneumatic machine, the production will be continuous and may also lessen the time spent in the six pieces produced by the machine. It will also reduce the spacing allotted per production. The researchers used primary and secondary data to conduct the study. Primary data came from the observation and analysis of their production area where the researchers noticed that the manual pneumatic machine of the company had a slow production. Secondary data came from the studies in the library and articles from textbooks and internet sites related to the conveying of pneumatic machine. Belt conveyors are used for shipping and packing, for transporting of goods or materials, for automating assembly and processing, and many more. The researchers recommended using a flat belt conveyor system to easily collect the product. In addition, belt conveyors are the most used powered conveyors because they are the most versatile, the least expensive and the highest quality premium belting products. The workers of the GEMPHIL Technologies Inc. can work easily in their work area and have mass production for the company. The researchers believed that this conveyor system will help the company to increase their production rate in a short span of time.
