Production of Carona Bread in Calamba City, Laguna

Abstract:

The proposed product is named as “Carona Bread.” It is loaf bread with carrot and banana as its main ingredients which make the product nutritious. It has a rectangular dimensions, weighs 400 grams per loaf, and brown in color. The brown color is due to the combination of carrot and banana, egg, oil, flour, baking soda, and salt. The proposed product is filled with nutrients, vitamins, and minerals. Carona Bread contains Vitamin A, Potassium, Carbohydrate, and Dietary Fiber found in carrot and banana. It is easy to eat, affordable, and very nutritious.

 

This study determined if such bread can help in the food crisis in the Philippines. It also aimed to compete in the market, to expand the business through the establishment of branches in nearby areas after five to eight years, and to have different variety of loaf bread.

 

This study proved that the proposed business is feasible, viable, and profitable through the following assertions:

1.It shows in the marketing aspect that there is a demand for Carona Bread and it was proven in the survey conducted in which 98% of the respondents were willing to buy the product.

2. Based on financial analysis of the study, the proposed business is financially viable for it results to desired net income.

3. All raw materials of the proposed product are locally produced and harvested in the country and are easy to find. 

4. Production of Carona bread is known to be environmentally friendly.
