Abstract:

The proposed project of offering Bachelor of Science in Accounting Technology in Colegio de San Juan de Letran Calamba is in accordance with Commission on Higher Education on expanding school programs as well as to Letran’s mission on total human development and better quality of life for individuals and its vision of becoming a university.

The project has a long range of objective of providing Letran Calamba quality education and helping the institution produce better graduates in the field of business.

This project was conceptualized because business nowadays is continuously changing and most companies at present would like to adopt technological innovations for fast accessibility of information.

 The proposed course, Bachelor of Science in Accounting Technology (BSAT) is believed to be of great help in the business industry because it is an accounting course with technological application.

The investment cost would be Php 448,072.13. It would be financed by the institution. The average return of investment in terms of accounting income is 43% every year. The payback period is 0.28. It means that it will take 101 days to recover the investment. The net present value is Php 8,897,879.48 while the internal rate of return is 394% and the probability index is 20.85814088.

As a whole, it was found out that there is a potential market for the project and it is financially feasible.
