Restructuring the Teaching Design for Literature at the Tertiary Level

Jose Javier Reyes

Discipline: Education, Cultural Studies

Abstract:

Numerous factors and conditions predetermine the order of priorities present in an educational system. Culture determinants, together with the uncontrollable pace of change, command the need for restructuring the teaching designs of numerous courses offered in the college level. This is to suit the more "relevant" demand for specialization. But these are not all that matter: if adjustments should be made in restructuring teaching methods, their aims and purposes also require revamping in order to bring about greater effectivity in justifying the presence of some courses in a truly integrative academic atmosphere.
