Abstract:

This study focused on the reduction of operating cost of the boiler specifically on the consumption of water, power, and fuel. Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) is the primary burning fuel for the heating of water and steam production, thus, the study covered the idea of saving or recovering the wasted heat.

After employing appropriate research methodologies, the study found out and recommended the adoption of alternative solution no. 3, the modification of the present set-up in which the main idea is to extend the piping lines. In this method, the heat that is transferred by the condensate and water in normal temperature travels from the pipe line to heat exchanger before entering the boiler. The operating principle in the process is that less fuel is consumed because the temperature is already high.
