Rare Sources of Philippine History

Abstract:

The classic Rastro, in the heart of the old Madrid, is still the happy hunting ground of lovers of antiques and of old books. Very little Filipiniana, however, may be found there now as owners of second-hand book stores, of which there are over 20 in Madrid, and over 50 in the rest of Spain, are always on the look-out for Philippine items. The prices are still relatively low. In fact, some items may be had there at less cost than in the Philippines. Let me cite to you a case in point.
