The Canonization of Rizal

Marcelino A. Foronda Jr.

Discipline: History

Abstract:

The many faceted personality of Rizal has been the subject of the close scrutiny of scholars and ardent Rizalists alike. Books, pamphlets, and a seemingly interminable array of articles on the different aspects of the hero's life and works have been published but, if at all, only a very negligible number of references to his canonization has been made in an equally negligible number of books, pamphlets, and articles.
