State of Bikol Scholarship

Maria Lilia F. Realubit

Discipline: History, Philippine History

Abstract:

This paper has been written upon the suggestion of Rev. Jose Arcilla, S.J., Professor of History, Archivist of the Jesuit Province at the Atenco de Manila University and a Bikolano from Catanduanes, who believes, and I agree, that we in this Conference see the state of Bikol scholarship in proper perspective-where are we now. Who started anything, what has been accomplished, what are the problems and where do we go from here?
