Antonio C. Hila

Abstract:

Known as a man of “many firsts," Santiago edified the Filipino in his compositions: His music blended the "essence" of the nation's past simple music, the best elements of Spanish and American forms, and the traits and peculiarities characteristic of Filipino music.
