Abstract:

Research and literature on nongovernment organizations (NGOs) have indicated that people have varying responses and views towards NGOs in the country. While some indicated misgivings and suspicions regarding the emergence of so many NGOs in different areas of the country, others have reported positive contributions, particularly in bringing development to the marginal sectors of society.
