Abstract:

Nestled along busy Taft Avenue near the intersection on Vito Cruz street in Manila is the4.8 hectare-campus of De LaSalle University, a Catholic educational institution founded by the Brothers of the Christian Schools in 1911. It is about four kilometers away from Manila City Hall and is easily accessible by public transportation. Within this kilometer radius are situated many other colleges and universities, a sports complex, the Central Bank of the Philippines, the Philippine Cultural Center complex, a row of four- and fivestar hotels, restaurants, various shopping and entertainment centers, light rail transit (LRT) facilities as well as the main feeder roads.
