Abstract:

 THE HISTORY

 

The Philippine Scientific Journal (PSJ) was founded in 1955 and is the official Publication of the Manila Central University (MCU-FDT) Medical Foundation Kaloocan City, Philippines. However, the oldest journal we can find in the MCU library is the 1962 issue with the old MCU logo. Dr. Jaime M. Aquino was the Editor in Chief then until 1984. After him the following editors-in-chief followed: Dr. Walfrido M. Sumpaico 1985-1989; Dr. Ponciano M. Bernardo 1990-1993; Dr. Esperanza F. Rivera 1993-1997; Dr. Raquel M. So-Sayo 1998-1999; Dr. Regta L. Pichay 2000-2007 and in 2008, this author was appointed.
