Abstract:

This study aimed to construct a device, specifically an incubation system, which can lessen the work of balut makers and those who are involved in egg industry. Equipped with a timer, GSM system, egg sensors, and temperature control mechanism, this design project must be able to identify the balut and penoy eggs. The timer was used to indicate the age of the incubated eggs; the GSM system was used to inform the owner and also to activate the device thru SMS; the light sensors were used to identify the balut and penoy eggs and the temperature control mechanism was used to maintain the temperature inside the incubator. This research study made use of experimental development approach to produce a prototype. Based on the findings, the device was efficient on detecting the balut and penoy eggs, at informing the owner the age of the incubated eggs to and in activating the device thru SMS and the temperature control mechanism was able to maintain the temperature inside the incubator.
