Hobbes' Political Theory and the New Global Order

Francis Offor

Discipline: Political Science, Political Philosophy

Abstract:

In this paper, attempt is made to properly situate Hobbes on the continuum of political theorists, whose ideas have served as catalysts to improving socio-political conditions in contemporary societies. This attempt at placing Hobbes politically in the proper perspective is important in view of the fact that Hobbes' antecedent training was in Latin and Greek Literature.
