Factors Related to Career Choice in English, Science and Mathematics as Field of Specialization in the College of Education

Abstract:

This study aimed to determine the factors related to career choice in English, Mathematics and Physical Science as field of specialization in the College of Education of the Technological Institute of the Philippines, Quezon City campus during the school year, 2006-2007.

 

Specifically, it sought to determine the personal profile of the respondents, the most chosen field of specialization, the top ranking influencing factors for the choice of major field of specialization.

 

This study utilized the descriptive method of research using survey questionnaire as the data-gathering instrument conducted among 100 first year and second year education students of TIP-QC who served as the respondents of the study.
