Teacher's Tools for Diagnosing Weaknesses in English

Abstract:

Many experienced teachers probably feel that they already know what the students'- weaknesses are because they see or hear them very often. For purposes of efficiency and effectivity, however, especially in so far as in1ividual students are concerned, I feel that the teacher still needs some tools or instruments by which he can pinpoint and measure the extent of the pupils' deficiencies. I would therefore recommend the use of tests to achieve this purpose.
