Abstract:

Just such a book, "The Catholic Faith for Adults", has just been published by the bishops of Holland; it is popularly known as the "New Dutch Catechism." The members of the Dutch hierarchy realize that in this age the presentation of the Faith must be in a different form than what has been in the past. People are inclined to think of the good old catechism of 20, 30, or 40 years ago and the notions of post-Vatican II can be disturbing for parents. Many older people are bewildered when they hear of religious teaching with the "new" approach.
