DISASTER RECOVERY FACILITY OF ABS-CBN BROADCASTING CORPORATION IN CALAMBA CITY, LAGUNA

Abstract:

This case study examined the proposed construction of Disaster Recovery Facility for ABS-CBN Broadcasting Corporation in Calamba City, Laguna. This was accomplished through qualitative method of data collection and analysis. Interviews were conducted with the broadcast and technical engineers of ABS-CBN Technical Operations Center and also with the representatives of different concerned private and government bodies. These strengthened the purpose of the disaster recovery facility in case of any disaster that may hit certain areas, as well as in times of system failure that may occur. Interviews revealed all the information and parameters needed for the construction of the proposed facility. This research determined the optimal location in establishing the disaster recovery system.
