Abstract:

The growing awareness of the need to re-evaluate present educational standards has brought about the revival of an interest in the educational approach of Maria Montessori. In a society where the individual's contribution counts heavily, less and less people are able to participate effectively. Developments in technology are putting a new premium on the ability to solve problems in linguistic and mathematical terms.
