Abstract:

The aim of the study is to identify the interests of grade nine learners of School Year 2014-2015 for the K to 12 Program. This is a quantitative descriptive study using a questionnaire as a survey tool. Respondents were the first batch of students who are currently enrolled as Junior High School students for the School Year 2014- 2015 or the current Grade nine students who will first undergo the Senior High Curriculum of K-12 program on 2016 from the top three feeder schools of SPUD other than SPUD HS graduates. The research was conducted in the classrooms of the three school campuses identified as the top feeder schools of St. Paul University Dumaguete for the school year 2014-2015. Data was analyzed using relative frequency distribution and percentage method. Results showed that, one hundred percent of grade nine learners of 2014 opted to proceed to Senior High School Program. Some techno-voc courses are popular to these learners. Majority of these grade nine students planned to pursue college and some courses appear to be popular in this group
