Abstract:

The blood glucose suppressive property of Abelmoschusesculentus & Syzygiumcumini was studied using albino mice. The albino mice were divided into four groups with a sample size of twelve per group and all were given HFCS and A. esculentus & S. cumini extracts as a part of their one week experimental diet. Three groups were orally induced with A. esculentus and S. cumini extracts and one group was given only water as the negative controlled group. In a statistical treatment ANOVA, both A. esculentus & S. cumini intake (P = 5.9E- 11) is effective in suppressing the blood glucose levels of albino mice. Regular dietary intake of combined A. esculentus &S. cumini extract, with the lowest average of 112.416, is more effective in suppressing blood glucose levels of albino mice.
