Small businesses, considered the backbone and lifeblood of the country’s business community, need to continually adapt and evolve to survive and grow amidst competitive markets and to satisfy the changing wants and needs of customers. This study determined the use of information technology in accounting as a decision-making tool of selected small businesses in the City of Calamba. It identified the computer applications being used by respondents, their attributes and the qualities of information generated. The study also identified the respondents’ source of idea. Furthermore, the study provided information on how globalization and technological advances affect the conduct of business.
