This study aimed to assess the theme, layout, and design of Giligan’s Island Bar and Restaurant. Using qualitative and quantitative research methods, data were obtained through observation, interview, and survey. The actual theme, layout, and design of the establishment were closely investigated, involving 97 respondents that were randomly selected during peak and off peak seasons. This number was based on the average number of guests per week. Results of the study showed that the establishment was different from other themed restaurants because of its unique theme, layout, and design. The establishment partially complied with the frequently used standard of design, and layout related to theme, layout, design and hospitality service books and journal. The customers, on the other hand, were partially satisfied about the theme, layout, and design of Giligan’s Island Bar and Restaurant. Moreover, the theme, layout, and design of the establishment affected the dining experience of the customers in terms of ambiance, convenience, and over all feeling of the restaurant. Recommendations were made regarding the improvement of its exterior grounds, exterior building, layout design, toilet facilities and fixtures, ambiance on the dining area, uniform of the wait staff and decorations of the restaurant to further enhance guest satisfaction.
