Abstract:

This study determined the reading and writing challenges of selected Grade 9 BEC students of Colegio de San Juan de Letran Calamba in terms of paraphrasing and summarizing skills through the scores they obtained from the administered reading comprehension test. The study further proposed enhancement exercises on paraphrasing and summarizing.
