ADJUSTMENT ISSUES AND TECHNIQUES TOWARDS FILIPINO CULTURE OF FOREIGN COLLEGE STUDENTS OF COLEGIO DE SAN JUAN DE LETRAN CALAMBA

Abstract:

The case study investigated the different adjustment issues and techniques towards Filipino culture of foreign college students of Colegio de San Juan de Letran Calamba. Using guide questions, the participants were interviewed. Findings revealed that the respondents viewed Filipino culture through the values of the Filipino and social interactions that they had observed. The attitudes of the people and some of the traditions were the similarities observed between the culture of their home and host country. While for the differences, there were the religion beliefs and practices, social relationships, different traditions, marriage and wedding, academics, government and society, food, and fashion.
