Abstract:

This study aimed to provide an interactive tutoring system for the elements of the Periodic Table using SoundEx Algorithm. Using the Eclipse as the software for coding, Blue Stacks as an emulator for running and testing the application, and Adobe Photoshop for the GUI, the researchers developed the system and tested its application to 50 3rd year and 4th year high school students who either finished or still studying Chemistry this school year in Blue Isle Integrated School in Batangas. Findings revealed that using algorithm was beneficial, and the system was easy to use.
