DATA RESCUE USING LZ77 ALGORITHM

Abstract:

This study designed and developed an application to help the user retrieve the deleted data in the external storage of a mobile device. Using the LZ77 algorithm, data that are stored in the application could be compressed and decompressed as retrieval is performed. The researchers employed survey questionnaires to gather data from the 39 respondents who were chosen through convenience sampling. These respondents were students from different year levels of BSIT and BSCS of the School of Computer Studies and Technology (SCST) and four I.T. experts.
