This study identified the literary skills of the Basic Education Curriculum (BEC) Third Year High School Level for the development of portfolio assessment tool in Literature; the students’ literary skills based on the assessed types and methodologies used in their Literature class; and the literary skills to be enhanced among the students. The researcher adapted and collected additional literature classroom activities to be added in the portfolio assessment tool with objectives and rubrics. Adopting descriptive research design, the researcher used the Delphi method, document analyses, and note taking from classroom observations.
