This study determined if using sight words as strategy can help in enhancing the reading ability and comprehension of the preschool pupils of CSJLC A.Y 2013-2014; identified the current level of the pupils in reading skills; and determined the list of sight words commonly used by teachers in developing children’s reading ability and comprehension. Using the descriptive quantitative design, the researchers utilized preschool pupils and 10 teachers, five from private school and five from public school, as respondents of the study.
